We’re gearing up for “Give To The Max Day” hosted by on Nov. 15th. Please support your favorite organizations on this day and GIVE!

We would like to thank the Henry Schein Cares Foundation for donating dental kits towards our SE Asia Mission in September/October 2012. PHS was able to donate dental kits to all the children we provided oral health education to at Eden Family Home in Saigon, Vietnam, Loc Tho Charity School in Nha Trang, Vietnam and Home of Grace near Bati Lake, Cambodia. We were also able to sustain our new programs at each organization for 1 year. We couldn’t complete our missions without the help from our sponsors, donors and volunteers. A big BIG THANK YOU!

PHS worked with Eden Family Home (formerly Agape Children’s Home) in Saigon, Vietnam. The founders of this organization have raised many orphaned and underprivileged children as their own. We were happy to be reunited with the family we did our first mission with.

PHS co-founders personally donated towards emergency dental treatment for 2 of Eden Family Home’s children who were in pain. The children’s bravery and willingness without complaint was admirable.

In mid lesson we caught one of our new friends already mimicking the brushing technique we were teaching. (Blue uniforms are worn by all children at the school, the grey attire showcases children being brought up in the monastary.)

Spent the day with 2 women doing great things in Vietnam. Tina Nguyen, owner of Faifoo Boutique Hotel and supporter of many charity projects in Vietnam & Minh Huynh, a journalist for Tuoi Tre news and founder of Viet Horizon Club. Minh and Tina both joined us for our mission with Eden Family Home. Minh will be writing about Eden Family Home and PHS’s mission there! A big thank you to Tina and Minh for their support.

Loving Kindness Vietnam, an organization that directly aids those in need throughout Nha Trang, blogged about our visit to Loc Tho Charity School & Orphanage. To learn more about Loving Kindness Vietnam please visit

We can’t say enough about Home of Grace near Bati Lake in Cambodia. Founder, Neri Tran, is such an inspiration and we were so impressed with the organization and how well behaved the children are. We had a successful mission and look forward to continuing our program with Home of Grace.

Do you recognize this face? We found Nget, the little girl we met 3 years ago who is the face of PHS! Nget still resides a at Lighthouse Children’s Orphanage in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Did you know in many countries the majority of rural population can not afford to buy a toothbrush or toothpaste? Many Ugandans use the stems from palm tree leaves to brush their teeth. When you tear the stem, it forms tiny “bristles”, creating a mini indigenous toothbrush.

We couldn’t have asked for a better “welcome” to Uganda! The children sing for all new visitors at Meeting Point. They melted our hearts immediatly!

PHS had a successful mission at Meeting Point Kampala in Uganda! We provided oral health education to over 350 children. Each child received their own dental kit and a fluoride treatment. We are proud to work with such an amazing organization and look forward to welcoming Meeting Point’s Founder and Director in Washington, D.C. this July for the World AIDS Conference 2012. We couldn’t have made our mission possible without the help of our board, volunteers and donors. Thank you for helping us Save Smiles Worldwide!
